Minies is 8 km away from Argostoli and right next to the airport. It is a small village with beautiful houses, most of which are built right next to the sea.
The village has a number of tourist accommodations such as rooms to let, and pool villas, and many amenities such as supermarket, gas station, restaurants, cafes, car rental companies and other facilities that visitors may need.
A short distance from the village there are three consecutive sandy beaches, ideal for small children as the water is shallow and parents can enjoy their coffee in the canteen while the kids play in the sand. Two of the three beaches are organized with umbrellas, deck chairs and a canteen. Besides the crystal clear waters of the region, tourists will admire the Vardianoi islands that are located just opposite the beach.
