Properties in Travliata, a traditional village in the south of Kefalonia.
Travliata is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Leivatho, in the southern part of the island of Kefalonia. It is located within a small driving distance from numerous stunning beaches but also from Argostoli. The road from Argostoli to Poros and Skala passes through the village. On the hill, north of Travliata is located Agios Georgios fortress dates from the 12th century. Built during the Byzantine era and then restored by the Venetians, you’ll be able to explore remains dating back to the 12th-16th Centuries. This castle provided a strategically significant overview of the island and the Ionian and as such was adopted by the Venetians as the island’s medieval capital.
