The Koroni area is on the south side of the island near the village Thiramonas and is one of the most privileged areas of Kefalonia, since it offers visitors a wonderful view of the blue waters.
There is also a large sandy beach with crystal clear waters which is known only by few, since it requires a good knowledge of the area. The beach is organized with sunbeds, umbrellas and a small canteen, thus the visitor can enjoy the tranquil scenery and a beautiful sunset.
In this beach you can encounter the rare Caretta-Caretta turtles that go there to lay their eggs.
