Chavriata is a village in Palliki, on the west of Kefalonia. It is built on a hill, at an altitude of about 80 meters above sea level. However, the village enjoys a wonderful and panoramic view of the Ionian Sea, such that some consider Chavriata “the balcony of the Ionian”.
The church of Panagia in Chavriata is estimated to be built in the 16th century and is considered an important monument of the post-Byzantine era.
